The ground shakes again: 5.5-magnitude earthquake recorded, followed by a series of weaker tremors MAP

A 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of the Indonesian island of Flores, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.

The epicenter of the earthquake was recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers, 53 kilometers northeast of Ruteng.

There were no reports of possible casualties or damage.

Before and after the tremor, a series of weaker earthquakes ranging from 2.5 to 3.5 on the Richter scale were also recorded.

Indonesia was hit by a devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake on August 15, with the epicenter near Mbai in Nagekeo Regency. According to the latest figures, 70 people were killed and 132 were injured.
