The situation remains most difficult in Trebinje, RTRS reported. The city is shrouded in smoke, with several sections of the fire line burning near the city.

Trebinje firefighters and volunteers are battling the remaining pockets of the fire that earlier spread down Petrina Hill toward the Gučina settlement and dense pine forest.

The main section of the fire line has been extinguished, but several hard-to-reach pockets remain, prompting a large number of people to remain on the ground overnight to prevent the fire from spreading.

The situation is somewhat calmer in the area between the villages of Tuli and Turmenti, where the fire had earlier come close to buildings.

In Sarajevo, two fires broke out in close proximity in the Čengić Vila neighborhood at around 10 p.m. last night. Two firefighting crews responded and prevented the flames from spreading.

The cause of the fires is unknown. Police officers from the Canton Sarajevo Ministry of Interior were also at the scene, Klix.ba reported.

In Montenegro, several fires remain active in the areas of Podgorica, Herceg Novi, Danilovgrad, Kolašin, Cetinje, Nikšić and Bijelo Polje, the Vijesti portal reported.

 

Fires remain active in the Momče area of Kuči near Podgorica, in Đenovići near Herceg Novi, and in the Ponikvice area of Danilovgrad.

In Kolašin, fires are burning at Crni Vrh, Maganik and Uvač, but they are under control.

Aktivna su i požarišta na Bijelim poljanama i Čumovici na Cetinju, Jasenovom Polju i na području Krstac-Čaradje na Goliji kod Nikšića, kao i u Jabučinama u Bijelom Polju.

U gašenju iz vazduha angažovani su avioni i helikopteri MUP-a, kao i dva helikoptera Vojske Crne Gore.

Dva aviona AT-802 MUP-a izvela su 26 naleta i izbacila 78 tona vode, dok je avion Antonov AN-32P imao 10 naleta i izbacio 80 tona vode.

Vazduhoplovi MUP-a ukupno su izveli 36 naleta i izbacili 158 tona vode.

Helikopteri Vojske Crne Gore su kod Nikšića tokom devet sati i 25 minuta angažovanja izveli 120 naleta, odnosno ciklusa, i izbacili 120 tona vode.

U Kavadarcima u Severnoj Makedoniji, požar na deponiji je pod kontrolom, ali unutar deponije i dalje ima tinjanja i dima, preneo je 21.TV.

Vatrogasci su tokom dana sprečili širenje vatre van deponije i zaštitili okolne vinograde. Pošto samo gašenje vodom nije dovoljno efikasno, počelo je zasipanje deponije zemljom.
