Higher Public Prosecutor's Office reveals details of the Senjak murder investigation; 70 forensic examinations

The Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade has stated that, in the investigation into the killing of Aleksandar Nešović in the Senjak area, 70 orders for various forensic examinations have been issued.

In the ongoing investigation against 10 people suspected of committing various criminal offenses related to the aggravated murder of Aleksandar Nešović in the Senjak area—whose body has still not been found—the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade has issued a total of 70 orders for different forensic examinations.

In addition, at the prosecutor’s order, authorities have seized 24 mobile phones, 1 fitness tracker, 2 laptops, 1 desktop computer, 2 receivers, 3 hard drives, and 10 vehicles in order to collect material evidence, according to the prosecution.

Twelve orders were issued to determine the presence of gunshot residue. Of these, 10 relate to vehicles, one concerns two individuals, and one concerns the crime scene in the “27” restaurant’s fireplace room.

Thirteen DNA analysis orders were also issued: 10 relating to traces in vehicles, one involving traces on a mobile phone, one concerning under-nail samples from four individuals, and one covering traces and items found in the “27” restaurant.

Two additional orders were issued for DNA profiling: one covering all items found during the investigation at the “27” restaurant, and the other for creating a DNA profile of the victim, Aleksandar Nešović.

 

In addition, an order was issued to collect samples of possible gunshot residue from two individuals, as well as an order to obtain under-nail samples from four individuals, along with 10 orders for forensic identification of persons.

An order was also issued for the forensic examination of digital devices and equipment used for storing video recordings. Furthermore, three search orders were issued: one for the “27” restaurant, one for two official vehicles, and one for equipment used to store electronic records.

An additional order was issued for physical and chemical analysis, along with 12 requests for telecom data records, and 24 orders for forensic examination of seized mobile phones.

In addition to the ordered examinations, the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade continues to carry out other investigative actions, working to determine all circumstances of the criminal case and conducting an extensive search for Aleksandar Nešović, whose disappearance was reported on May 13. According to collected evidence, it is indicated that he was killed in a premeditated manner the previous evening.
