American commander killed

Commander Gabriel Edwards, the commanding officer of helicopter squadron HSC-5, was killed after an MH-60S Seahawk helicopter crashed in the Arabian Sea, 10,000 kilometers from U.S. territory, Iran’s state television IRIB reported.

Trump: I know I’m on their list, but I’ve been lucky

U.S. President Donald Trump said he is aware that there have been calls in Iran for his assassination.

“I am on every one of their lists. And so far, I guess I’ve been a little lucky, but that may not last long. Because that’s how it works, but we have great people,” Trump said.

 

“You will enter a hell from which there will be no escape”

Iran’s Deputy Army Chief for Coordination, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, said that any attempt by foreign forces to land on Iran’s shores would face massive resistance, warning that the country’s coastline would become a “hell” for any invading force.

Speaking in a television interview, Sayyari described any attempt to land foreign troops on Iranian territory as a red line for the Iranian nation, adding that the United States had planned such an operation but had not carried it out.

He said that the Iranian military, together with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), law enforcement forces, the Basij, and the Iranian people, are fully prepared to defend the country. He added that no rhetoric would give Washington the courage to launch such an operation.

“The enemy knows that if it commits such madness and lands forces on the Iranian coast, it will enter a hell from which there will be no escape,” the commander said.
