Compared with the same month last year, the number of passengers carried increased by 10%.

In August, Air Serbia operated a total of 5,743 flights from airports in Belgrade, Niš and Kraljevo to more than 100 destinations across Europe, the Mediterranean, North America, Asia and Africa.

“August’s record passenger numbers confirm Air Serbia’s position as one of the fastest-growing airlines in the region. This result was made possible by the daily dedication of our employees, continuous improvements to our service and the development of a strong network of destinations, giving passengers more travel options from Belgrade. An additional boost comes from our loyalty program, which offers numerous benefits and rewards passengers for their trust. Together, service quality, an extensive destination network and benefits for our most loyal passengers are helping Air Serbia further strengthen its position as the region’s leading airline. These results give us additional motivation to continue raising standards and finish 2026 with the best passenger numbers in the company’s history,” said Air Serbia CEO Jiří Marek.

From the beginning of the year through August, Air Serbia carried a total of 3,263,915 passengers on scheduled and charter flights, its best result for the first eight months of any year. During the same period, the airline operated 34,641 flights, 5% more than in the same period last year.

Strong operational results were also reflected in a high cabin load factor. In August 2026, the load factor reached 83.6%, while the January–August figure stood at 77.1%.

By the end of the year, Air Serbia will further expand its network by launching direct flights from Belgrade to Tenerife and Seville, as well as from Niš to Vienna and Malta. The airline will also increase the number of weekly flights to destinations in Montenegro in response to growing passenger demand.
