Vučić: "My idea is for next government to have no more than 12 ministers"; "It'll be the smallest Government"

“So, if I receive the people’s support to become a candidate for prime minister, I will tell you just one thing today, while I will present the full program once I have completed my presidential term. My idea is for the next government to have a prime minister and exactly 12 ministers. In other words, it would be the smallest government in our history, but one made up of hardworking, diligent and energetic people, capable of taking responsibility, and people who understand that they are there not to enjoy themselves, but to work in the interests of citizens,” Vučić said.

“So that will be my promise to the citizens, and I will sign it. The ministries will be much larger, with broader responsibilities than their current individual portfolios. Ministers are always fighting over authority. When you draft a law on the government and ministries, it becomes a general power struggle. But when you ask them what they have actually accomplished and whether they have devoted themselves to each of those huge areas, of course they haven’t,” he added.
