Kyiv: She has been arrested
Ukraine’s High Anti-Corruption Court has ordered the detention of former Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Iryna Mudra, for 60 days, with the possibility of release on bail of around €385,000.
“The petition is partially granted, and the suspect, Iryna Romanivna Mudra, is placed in pre-trial detention for a period of 60 days,” the investigating judge said, adding that bail was set at 20 million hryvnias, Ukrinform reported.
If she posts bail, Mudra will be required to respond to every summons from detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and prosecutors from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO). She will also be prohibited from leaving Kyiv and the Kyiv region without permission and must report any change of residence.
She will also be required to avoid contact with victims, witnesses and other suspects in the criminal proceedings, refrain from visiting the premises of Budmontazhservis and Filosofiya Development, surrender her travel documents and wear an electronic monitoring device.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Mudra from her position as Deputy Head of the Presidential Office on August 19.
Mudra later said that she had resigned voluntarily.
