RHMZ issues urgent warning – Prepare for extreme conditions: "The period of high risk continues"
The Republic Hydrometeorological Institute of Serbia (RHMZ) issued a warning today about high temperatures across Serbia, including Belgrade, as well as a warning about extreme conditions for the ignition and spread of wildfires.
Today and on Tuesday, August 11, the highest daily temperatures in most parts of Serbia will range from 34 to 39 degrees Celsius. From Wednesday through Friday, temperatures are expected to drop to between 30 and 34 degrees, while on Wednesday, August 12, temperatures in southern Serbia could reach 36 degrees.
Over the weekend and at the beginning of next week, maximum temperatures are expected to rise again to around or above 35 degrees.
According to the warning for the Belgrade area, the highest daily temperatures today and tomorrow will range from 35 to 37 degrees Celsius, followed by a drop from Wednesday through Friday, when temperatures are expected to be around 32 degrees.
Over the weekend and at the beginning of next week, maximum temperatures in Belgrade are also expected to rise again to around 35 degrees Celsius, while tropical nights are expected throughout the entire period.
