Major drug bust in Novi Sad: Criminal group arrested, several dozen kilograms of drugs seized

Novi Sad police department, in a major operation carried out in Novi Sad, seized a large quantity of suspected narcotics. The operation resulted in the seizure of around 85 kilograms of drugs, including cocaine and marijuana, and the arrest of three people.

After raiding a 'safe apartment' in Novi Sad, criminal police officers found a full drug-trafficking setup ready for street distribution: eight large bags of marijuana, three blocks of pressed hashish bearing branded “Cali” stickers, packets of cocaine, as well as a digital scale and smaller bags of marijuana already packaged for sale.

In the extensive operation, police seized more than 2.5 kilograms of drugs, while two teenagers were arrested.

Drugs worth several thousand euros seized

During searches of the premises used by the suspects, police seized:

  • 1,426.11 grams of hashish, packaged in recognizable “Cali Indoor Mousse” packs
  • 1,123 grams of marijuana
  • 11.94 grams of cocaine
 
 

In addition to the drugs, police also seized a precision digital scale, several mobile phones allegedly used to arrange drug sales, and a substantial amount of cash suspected to have been obtained through drug trafficking.

Two teenagers arrested, one remanded in custody

In the operation, A. M. (17) from Bačka Palanka was arrested and placed in custody for up to 48 hours, while a criminal complaint was filed with the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office against L. T. (15) from Novi Sad.
