Iran has launched drone attacks on U.S. military ships in the Gulf of Oman, according to Iran’s semi-official news agency Tasnim, as reported by the BBC.

Earlier, the U.S. Navy seized a container ship sailing under the Iranian flag in the Gulf of Oman.

The spokesperson for the central operational headquarters of Iran’s armed forces, Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, stated that the country’s armed forces will “soon respond and retaliate” to the “armed piracy carried out by the U.S. military.”

As reported by Tasnim News Agency, there are currently no reports of damage from the Iranian attacks on U.S. ships.
