The ceremonial distribution of pupils’ report cards and certificates for students from first to seventh grade at the end of the second semester will take place on Sunday, June 28, 2026. The ceremonial awarding of certificates for eighth-grade students at the end of the second semester will be held within a period not longer than seven days after the end of the school year.

For eighth-grade students, according to the school calendar published by the Ministry of Education, the summer break will begin after the completion of the final exam and last until August 31.

Eighth-grade students attended classes until May 29, and they will take entrance exams for secondary schools on June 15, 16, and 17, as set out in the educational calendar for primary schools.

The final exam in Serbian or mother tongue will be held on June 15 from 9:00 to 11:00, while the mathematics test will take place the following day at the same time.

On June 17, students will take the third test in an elective subject, previously choosing between biology, geography, history, physics, and chemistry.

Supervision of the final exam will take place during the week from June 15 to 22.

Preliminary results of the final exam will be published on June 19, and on the same day students may submit complaints about the preliminary results, either electronically or directly at their primary school.

According to the “Moja srednja škola” website, final results will be published on June 22. On June 23 and 24, students will fill in their lists of preferences (choices) for secondary school enrollment electronically and submit them through their primary school.

Students in the first, second, and third grades of gymnasiums and four-year secondary vocational schools, as well as first- and second-year students of three-year vocational schools, will start their summer break on June 22 and return to school on September 1.

For final-year students of gymnasiums, fourth-year students of four-year vocational schools, and third-year students of three-year vocational schools, the summer break begins after the completion of the graduation or final exams.

The same summer holiday schedule applies to students in primary and secondary schools in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.
