EU–Western Balkans Summit in Tivat; Important meeting with Fico; Talks today with von der Leyen, Macron, Merz
Today, Tivat is hosting a summit of European Union and Western Balkans leaders under the slogan “Shared Prosperity and Stability of the EU and the Western Balkans,” with EU enlargement as the main topic.

The summit will be chaired by António Costa, who previously toured the countries of the region, while the host is Jakov Milatović. Serbia is represented by Aleksandar Vučić.
France and Germany have a plan; It could also affect Serbia
Germany and France have proposed giving countries seeking EU membership greater opportunities to join EU programs and gain access to the single market before formally becoming members of the bloc.
This was outlined in a discussion paper reviewed by Reuters.
The proposal also raises the possibility of allowing representatives from the Western Balkan countries and Moldova to participate in parts of EU ministerial meetings and summits, although without voting rights.
Vučić meets with von der Leyen, Costa, Macron and Merz
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić met with Ursula von der Leyen, António Costa, Emmanuel Macron, and Friedrich Merz as part of a joint meeting in Tivat.
Meetings are also scheduled during the day with Christian Stocker, Micheál Martin, and other participants of the summit.
Vučić and Fico Hold Meeting
President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić met with Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Robert Fico at the EU–Western Balkans Summit in Tivat.

Vučić to hold important meetings
During the summit, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić will take part in a joint meeting with Ursula von der Leyen, António Costa, Emmanuel Macron, and Friedrich Merz.
Bilateral meetings are also planned between President Vučić and Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Robert Fico, Christian Stocker, Micheál Martin, as well as other summit participants.

According to information published by the European Commission, leaders from the Western Balkans and the EU are expected to discuss enlargement and the Growth Plan, while the EU is set to reaffirm its full and unequivocal commitment to the Western Balkans' membership perspective.
One of the key topics will be how to address common challenges and strengthen security and resilience in the context of an increasingly complex geopolitical environment, as well as how to enhance cooperation on foreign, security, and defense policy issues.
