Vučić arrives in Paris; Serbia joins 120 other delegations at the first International Space Summit

During his stay in Paris, President Vučić will address participants at the Summit’s plenary session on the topic “The Future of Space for a Rapidly Changing World.”

He is also scheduled to attend a dinner hosted today by French President Emmanuel Macron in honor of the heads of state and government participating in the summit.

The first International Space Summit is being held at the Grand Palais, providing an opportunity to open a dialogue on security, sustainable governance, the space economy and scientific research, as well as to seek answers to the challenges facing the space sector today.

Nearly 120 foreign delegations will gather at the invitation of the President of the French Republic, including heads of state and government from around the world, representatives of international and regional organizations, members of parliament, scientists, military officials, astronauts, and decision-makers from the private sector, civil society, local communities and development banks.

The Summit aims to promote open and direct dialogue, as well as perspectives and pathways for cooperation and action through high-level discussions, statements and workshops.

Strategic thinking about the future of space must be a global undertaking, a principle that will be reflected in statements by states, international organizations and private stakeholders.

Facilitating this dialogue will also contribute to the convergence of agendas in areas including the growing use of low Earth orbit, the development of the space economy, key scientific fields, lunar exploration and skills development.
