Vučić: "Elections in October or November"; "Most likely parliamentary first, then presidential"
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said that elections will be held in October or November and will most likely begin with parliamentary elections, followed by the presidential vote.
“They asked for it last time as well. They have always requested it and insisted on it, and I respect the requests of both the opposition parties and everyone else for the elections to be held separately, so they have more opportunities and so that people can make their decisions in different ways,” Vučić told RTS when asked whether the parliamentary and presidential elections would be held simultaneously.
He said that a decision to call the elections will most likely be made in August or September.
“So, the elections could be held either in October or in November. That’s the timeframe. Most likely, the parliamentary elections will come first, followed by the presidential election,” President Vučić said.
