View this post on Instagram A post shared by Aleksandar Vučić (@buducnostsrbijeav)The World Urban Forum will run until May 22 at the Baku Olympic Stadium, under the theme &ldquo;Housing the World: Safe and Resilient Cities and Communities,&rdquo; organized by UN-Habitat.The World Urban Forum is one of the most significant global gatherings dedicated to the future of cities, urbanization, and sustainable development.The forum is organized by UN-Habitat in cooperation with the Government of Azerbaijan and brings together world leaders, urban planners, government representatives, investors, experts, and civil society organizations from around the world.This year&rsquo;s focus is the issue of the lack of affordable and safe housing.According to United Nations data, more than three billion people worldwide do not have adequate living conditions, while rapid urbanization, rising real estate prices, and climate change are further worsening the situation.Organizers emphasize that cities must become more resilient, sustainable, and adapted to the needs of the population.The emphasis is placed on the development of social housing, green infrastructure, modern urban planning, and reducing social inequalities in urban environments.Participants will, over six days, discuss modern urban planning, infrastructure, green energy, sustainable transport, and ways to make cities more resilient to climate and social changes.Vučić arrived in Baku on Sunday, where he met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, followed by meetings with representatives of some of Azerbaijan&rsquo;s largest companies.
